Rob Pereira started his Fanshawe career as a student-athlete from 2001-05 as part of the Men's Soccer team. He won two OCAA bronze medals in 2001-02 and 2003-04. In 2004-05, Pereira was named the Fanshawe Male Athlete of the Year, West Scoring Champion, OCAA All-Star, OCAA Scoring Champion, and a CCAA All-Canadian. He became Associate Coach for the Men's Soccer team in 2005 and then Assistant Coach in 2010. In 2015, he took over the position of Head Coach. Pereira has been named the OCAA West Division Coach of the Year four times (2015-16, 2019-20, 2021-22, 2024-25), the Overall OCAA Coach of the Year once (2015-16), and is a former CCAA Coach of the Year Nominee. Pereira coached his team to an OCAA Outdoor Soccer silver medal in 2019-20 and OCAA Indoor Soccer gold medals back-to-back in 2021-22 and 2022-23. He has his A Licence, which is currently the top-level certification in Canada Soccer’s Coach Education Program.
