(London, ON) – The Ontario Colleges Athletics Association (OCAA) officially announced the schedules for the men's and women's varsity volleyball seasons.
Fanshawe College will begin the season in front of the home crowd fans at Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre in matches against Niagara College on October 18th. The women's team will kickstart the action at 1:00 p.m., with the men's team following at 3:00 p.m.
The Falcons men's team finished their 2024-2025 season with a 14-4 record and advanced to the OCAA final four where they ultimately claimed a bronze medal. A veteran team last season, the Fanshawe lineup will have some fresh faces hit the court in 2025-2026. The Falcons will see a return of the lethal attack duo of Zack Admans (St. Thomas, ON) and Tanner Paterson (Baden, ON) who finished last season first and second on the team in kills with 185 and 146 respectively. With key returners and a strong recruiting class incoming, Fanshawe will have their sights locked on a trip back to the final four with a championship in mind.
After finishing their 2024-2025 season with a 9-9 record, the Fanshawe women's volleyball team turned heads by advancing to the OCAA final four. After failing to qualify for the playoffs in 2023-2024, the Falcons bounced back in a big way in the first season with head coach Sean Pellow back at the helm. The Fanshawe lineup will be helped by the return of the women's team Rookie of the Year Dana Sloan (London, ON) and kill leader Grace McLean (Dorchester, ON) who are poised to lead the Birds attack in 2025-2026. This season with greater expectations, the women's team will set their sights on heading back to the final four and walking out with some hardware.
