OCAA 2026-27 Basketball Schedules Released
The Ontario Colleges Athletics Association (OCAA) officially announced the schedules for the men's and women's varsity basketball seasons.
(London, ON) – The Ontario Colleges Athletics Association (OCAA) officially announced the schedules for the men's and women's varsity basketball seasons.
The Falcons will begin their season on the road with both men's and women's playing Southwestern Ontario rival Lambton on October 21st.
Coming off the programs 14th OCAA Championship and a Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) silver medal, the first national medal in Falcons women's basketball history, Fanshawe's women's team will look to build off their most successful season ever. While some key pieces from 2025-26 will be absent from the linup in 2026-27, the Falcons roster will feature a large group of returners and a few new additions, including Sydney Shawyer (Horseshoe Valley, ON) the OCAA's 2025-26 scoring champion who played for Georgian last season.
The Falcons men's basketball team saw a three win improvement last season, finishing with a regular season record of 8-10 before dropping their playoff crossover game against Centennial. Coach Tony Marcotullio's squad will look for continued improvement and a deeper playoff run for the 2026-27 season
